We want to see you dress to impress! We are excited to have a black tie wedding. We ask all women to wear a formal gown or cocktail attire and men to wear either a suit and tie or tuxedo! Thank you!
Italian tradition is to have a preset menu of entrees selected by the bride and groom. The dinner courses are as follow: Course 1: Trofie pasta with pistachio pesto and shrimp Course 2: Ravioli pasta filled with asparagus in cream of Ragusano D.O.P cheese Course 3: Beef fillet coated with pistachio nuts, in a Nero d'Avola red wine sauce ***Please let us know well in advance if you have a shellfish allergy or you do not consume red meat***
Our ceremony inside the church will be unplugged. For this, we ask all phones and cameras to be put away and there to be no pictures or videos taken! You are more than welcome to take photos and videos throughout the course of the reception! This is such a special day for us and we have the most amazing photography crew. So take it all in, celebrate, and be in the moment with us!
Please plan accordingly with your wireless carrier. We recommend downloading WhatsApp. This is a popular phone app that is used internationally to communicate. Prior to wedding, it is advisable to add any important contacts to your WhatsApp! When we get to Italy, we want to make sure you are able to easily get in touch with us, if needed, as well as be able to communicate with other familiar faces you know that are attending the wedding.
September in Sicily is still essentially summer due to it being more of a tropical island. It will be hot enough for beach days so pack a bathing suit! We suggest packing summery pieces with some lighter cover ups + long sleeves for layering in the evening.
Most electronics will require an adapter in order to work in Europe. These can be found on Amazon!
The majority of walkways in Italy are cobblestone streets and it is very common to walk from place to place. Please pack comfortable shoes as Taormina is a very walkable town. Post ceremony, we will all be walking from the church to the town piazza together. This is about a 10 minute walk. We ask that you please plan accordingly as it may be uncomfortable to walk in high heels. Opt for chunky heels or bring a pair of flats in your clutch!
While we love your little one, our wedding is going to be an adult-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so that you can party with us, kid-free!
We advise that guests reach out to their banks to obtain Euro prior to getting to Europe. It is still possible to exchange money overseas, but once in Italy, the pace of life is rather slow so it may be more challenging to find an adequate bank. We also advise that you reach out to your credit company to let them know you will be travelling internationally.
