FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date or add a plus one?

Answer

We ask that you please stick to what we have accounted for on your RSVP.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, although you can cross with your ID and birth certificate, it is highly recommended to have your passport/passport card.

Question

Do we need pesos?

Answer

When traveling down to Ensenada it is advised to use the toll road. Google maps should automatically direct you to use it or you could follow the map provided in the invitation. There are toll fees and they accept either pesos or US dollars. There are 3 toll booths and each range ~$2 or less so please have change.

Question

How far is it from the border?

Answer

Valle de Guadalupe is about 1.5 hrs from the border. It is a city in Ensenada Municipality, 12 miles north of the City of Ensenada.

Question

How do we get to Valle de Guadalupe?

Answer

To get to Valle de Guadalupe, you will need to drive down from the border as the nearest airport would be the Tijuana airport near the border. Valle has two entryways, down the coast towards Ensenada and the inland route going through Tecate.

Question

Which US Port of Entry (border) should we use?

Answer

There are 2 ports of entry one could use, San Ysidro (taking the I-5) or Tecate (taking the SR-188).

Question

How long are the wait times to cross back into the states?

Answer

Wait times can take as long as 3 hours, based on our experience on a very busy day. However, going through the "Ready Lane" can cut your time in half. The "Ready Lanes" are available to those with passport cards but they have become more flexible with accepting other forms of identification (passport, birth certificate, etc.) The Tecate border is known for shorter crossing wait times.

Question

Can I just Google map the venue?

Answer

Yes, Google maps was our best friend while we explored the area. You may want to double check first with your cell phone provider that you have cell phone coverage before racking up those roaming charges. Each invite also received a map providing general guidance.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is on site parking. The ceremony and reception will take place at the same location.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond and Crate & Barrel.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, please check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the details.
