If you get lucky, you'll catch them walking around Cataloochee Valley or even hanging out in Maggie Valley or Cherokee in any open field or neighborhood. We always spot them at the start of sunset, never at any other time.
Buckle up! 300 turns in 30 miles and we're actually located on it, so you'll ride it no matter what!
We rode the parkway on our first 10 day road trip together. This was when we fell in love. If you haven't done this before, make sure you do while you're here. The views are stunning.
Go fishing for trout or jump in the swimming hole under a waterfall! Plenty of spots to make a picnic as well.
This is an easy 1.5 mile loop with a top of the mountain 360 view! It's stunning. Take photos, take a deep breath of fresh air or make a picnic. It's about 30 minutes from Six Fields - 15 minutes out and then 15 minutes up a mountain.
Park your car and be alongside this powerful waterfall in 2 minutes; no hiking required. Take a swimsuit with you!
This is a hard 4 mile out and back hike, but it has an epic waterfall. This is where Donato takes his students for torture and cold exposure. Note: Courthouse falls via summer cove trail. Ask me what happened here the first time we went, it was memorable to say the least.
A very pretty and scenic walk around the nearby lake. This is not a hike, just a pretty walk. Pop in to Crepe & Custard for a delicious crepe. 15 minutes from Six Fields.
Awesome taproom, pizzas, salads & wings! Great vibe and Priscilla's favorite spot for a salad, a pizza, and a beer. It's what we do to reward ourselves for a hard week of work.
Another fave! Great food and all around atmosphere. We know the whole staff here. Try the shepherd's pie or the fish and chips! And if you like porters, the Balsam Porter.
Our cafecito spot! And award winning latte art!
P & D's date night spot <3
If you like BBQ, they do it right! Winners of the best brisket in the US and Canada. P.S. The ribs are insane.
