We're finally gettin' hitched!

Jas and I went to school together at Sierra house Elementary first, South Tahoe intermediate school second, and finally South Tahoe High together...No! I didn't follow him to college!! I was off having my wonderful sons and traveling states. I mostly had classes with Brian in high school (Jason's BFF) but Jas was always around growing up. We were casual friends.

Jason and I had been dating and then living together for 5 years previous to the proposal. So this really came as a surprise to me. And anyone who knows me, knows I don't like surprises or to be put on the spot! LOL So this definitely didn't go down well. But it makes for a great story! ha ha Jas and I had been planning a date night for quite a while, and there was a really great restaurant in San Fransisco we had been wanting to try called La Colonial. We arrived dressed up and excited, the atmosphere was so romantic; soft music, candlelight, and white linens. We ordered drinks and dinner we were having a fabulous time and then suddenly the waitress gives me a dessert plate that says "will you marry me?" I laughed because I thought she was joking with me and I look over at Jas who was holding a ring. Then I suddenly had a rush of embarrassment for not realizing sooner! So immediately I began to get upset and cry not knowing he ever felt this strongly about "us". I began to get nauseous and the whole restaurant was awaiting my reply. I said yes of course!! However, I felt as though I couldn't enjoy the moment because I was the center of attention. So with me being in tears, we left to go for walk and calm down in the sprinkling San Fransisco rain. I asked Jas to please ask me again when we got home and we were alone together and I said yes!
