At The Grand Hotel...
•Pamper yourself to a luxurious Spa treatment.
•Play golf at the historic Lakewood Golf Club.
•Enjoy fishing in Mobile Bay from the Grand Pier.
Bait and cane poles provided by The Grand’s recreation staff.
•Feed the Grand ducks at the Lagoon.
Pick up duck food at the Front Desk.
•Go for a bike ride.
The first hour is complimentary. Take a bike ride to Punta Clara Kitchen (only 1 mile from The Grand) to try locally made candy.
•Compete with loved ones on the Activities lawn.
Games include croquet, ladder ball, horseshoes, ping-pong, bocce ball, putting green, and cornhole.
•Learn about the unique history of The Grand Hotel, followed by the firing of the cannon.
The procession (Grandeur, Grit, and Glory Since 1847) occurs daily at 3:45pm, commencing by the Lobby fireplace and ending with a cannon firing at the edge of Mobile Bay. The presentation is followed by complimentary tea, cookies, and coffee in the Grand Hall.
•Hear the ringing of the sunset bell at Bucky’s Lounge.
The celebration begins thirty minutes before sunset so arrive early. Seats begin filling up at least an hour prior.
•Enjoy a Grand Holiday Stroll.
It has been compared to a mini Bellingrath Gardens!
•Witness the beautifully detailed Gingerbread display of Grand Proportion in the Main Building.
•Take one of The Grand Hotel’s shuttles to Downtown Fairhope.
Enjoy the unique boutiques, art galleries, antique stores, and delicious restaurants in beautiful downtown! Reserve transportation to enjoy Fairhope for a day by emailing the Grand Transportation team at transportation@grand1847.com. The fee is $20 per person roundtrip. The shuttle departs at 11am from the valet circle and returns at 3pm. Pick up and drop off at Fairhope Welcome Center.
While in Fairhope...
•Take a stroll down the Fairhope Pier.
•Visit Tamara's Downtown, a delicious brunch or dinner spot.
Fun fact: Mark took me to Tamara's for our 2 year anniversary. A few days later, he proposed at The Battle House Hotel's Trellis Room Restaurant in downtown Mobile!
•Wanting a cup of coffee?
The Coffee Loft, Rachel's favorite, is located a few minutes from the downtown area.
•Craving hibachi and sushi?
Enjoy both at Wok by D'Bay. We love this place!
•Looking for something sweet?
Mr. Gene's Beans ice cream and coffee shop is a local go-to!
