It was a sunny day, my brother came to visit me and he brought his friend. I came down stairs and this well-dressed, "Nelly want to be" guy stood there; looking at me. My brother said, "meet my brother in-law Mickey, Mickey meet my sister Princess". He said to my brother, "you did not tell me you have a pretty sister, she will be my wife". My brother told him that he was a player and that I will not go out with him. After the visit, they left and I did not see him for about a year. I saw him at a thanksgiving dinner his family was having. We did not talk much or exchange numbers. After the thanksgiving dinner, I did not see him for another two years, I ran into him at the Education Center, funny that we had both been expelled for getting in fights and had to take classes at the alternative school for that semester. We chatted and exchanged number. He asked me out and I told him that I had a boyfriend. Geoffrey said that he wanted to be a friend and he did not mind that I had a boyfriend. We begin friends, we would chat frequently. He invited me to his prom and I went. All this time, I had a boyfriend and we had establish that we were friends. I remember one night I was stranded for ride, I called everyone, no one would pick up their phone , I called Geoffrey and he did not hesitate to get out of bed and came to pick me up. My relationship at the time was not going really well, and Geoffrey made sure to show up, always dressed up, matching shoes, hat, jersey and usually imitating the rapper Nelly. My friends would capitalized on how nice and mature Geoffrey was. August of 2004, we decided to make it official, we started dating. In 2005, we moved in together and in 2006 Jaden was born and the rest is by God's grace. Geoffrey and I married in the church on 12/14/2014, we would like to say I do again, in the presence of our family and friends. I have to wear "the dress". Mickey is an awesome family man and I'm glad our paths crossed.
