Bride
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Carla loves to spend time with the people who mean the most to her: friends, family and of course Kevin (our dog). Excelling in school from a young age Carla seamlessly transitioned from being successful at school to being successful at work, building relationships everywhere she went. She made friends in so many places, especially at grad school in New Hampshire and her favorite job at Clif. Then 5 years ago she met Chris, and decided that he was good enough to go on adventures with! Together they traveled around the US, to Hawaii, UK, Malta, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Mexico, Italy, France and more... introducing him to fancy hotels and eating delicious food. Chris finally proposed in the Lake District on a bridge by a waterfall... not the original plan but that is a story for another time. Which has led us here: as a former wedding photographer herself, Carla has strong opinions on her favorite wedding things- so we hope you all enjoy the day!
Chris
Groom
Chris grew up in the countryside of Somerset (United Kingdom) spending time playing football (soccer) with his friends, not trying his hardest at school and enjoying kayaking in the rain. Eventually he moved out to go to University in Loughborough to Study Manufacturing Engineering and Management, where he discovered the need to work hard to succeed but also that having fun experiences are as important as succeeding in work. At Loughborough Chris met his first wife before graduating, getting a job working at Elekta and then having 2 amazing boys (Myles and Xander). Having worked at Elekta for 10 years he was offered the opportunity to move to California with his company and jumped at it, not knowing that it would be a great experience work wise but also that he would meet his future wife. Since it was during COVID lockdown and there was no need to be near the office, Chris moved to Alameda where he had a sliver of a view of the beach to enjoy between work meetings. He met Carla and the rest is history, their life now filled with vacations, spending time with friends, relaxing with Kevin (our dog) and seeing family: what more could this little country boy want?
Myles
Best Man
Chris's eldest son Myles (12) loves nothing more than a screen, whether it is watching YouTube, playing Dandys World on his iPad, or practicing Pokemon and Super Mario Smash Bros on the Switch so that he can beat Chris, this is what makes him happy! Myles inherits some of his nerdiness from his Dad and knows a lot about Pokemon and is picking up Harry Potter, Star Wars and with no doubt will be moving onto Lord of the Rings soon! Unfortunately he also inherited his Dads dance moves so make sure to invite him out on the dance floor - he will be happy to oblige :)
Xander
Best Man
Chris's youngest son Xander (10) is a true reader, he loves a book and will frequently be found sneaking in a few more pages when he can. Having written a few of his own stories to give away as birthday gifts, he is a creative and intelligent guy. Xander loves to express himself through his own style and is always up for a chat and a game so if you need entertaining then Xander is your guy!
Sophie
Flower Girl
Sophie is Chris's Eldest Niece - she loves Ballet and is successfully completing her certifications, doing so with her own impeccable style and finesse. If you spy someone on the dance floor doing the splits - more than likely it is Soph! Sophie loves to draw, paint and all things artistic, and if that can align with a Horse then even better as they are No.1 animal at the moment.
Olivia
Flower Girl
Olivia is the Youngest Niece. She is very into dinosaurs, a hobby that she shares with her favourite Uncle Chris. She has recently found the joy of K-Pop Demon Hunters and she knows all the lyrics to every song... if you need someone to sign along to "Golden" with you then Livy is probably your girl.
Judson
Flower Boy
Judson is Carla's youngest nephew and an absolute livewire! Judson loves Monster Trucks, any sport with a ball involved and of course his weekly Boba walk with Tia Carla. He's recently taken up the hobby of finding free things with Dad (Judd) and turning them into high value items- the future is bright for this little entrepreneur!
Kevin
Best Boy Ever
Kevin will have an honorary role within the wedding party due to prior commitments (and his inability to remain calm around groups of people). While the wedding happens, he will be sure to be doing all his favourite things: sleeping, sitting on the sofa or potentially chasing a squirrel in the garden. Kevin has been a part of Carla and Chris’s family since the very beginning, bringing cuddles, walkies and fun to their life. He is a cute, silly and lovable boy! When you're next in the Bay Area, you must come by our house to give him a pet and let him lick you- it's mandatory!!!!
