Traveling to Ghana

Visas: U.S. and U.K. passport holders will need a visa to travel to Ghana. We recommend applying for your visa to Ghana latest by the end of October to leave adequate time to receive your approval. (Other Non-Ghanaian travelers can contact Prince Harry and Georgette for assistance) After completing the appropriate visa application and paying the required fees, you will have to mail your passport to the Ghana embassy together with required supporting document/information. Consult a travel clinic, local vaccination center or your local pharmacy to obtain the vaccine and malaria prevention medication. Currency Restrictions (Cash): You may be subject to currency restrictions of up to $10,000 or its equivalent in any currency when entering or exiting Ghana.
