Travel Note

**Altitude Considerations**

Denver ain't called the "Mile High" City for nothing...it is approximately 5,280 feet above sea level. It often takes people between 1-3 days to acclimate to the altitude shift. With a swift change in altitude, altitude sickness is a real concern that you could face while you are visiting the Mile High City. If you are traveling from sea level to join us, take extra care of yourself to prevent altitude sickness. Drink lots of water! Don't over exert yourself; we promise your out-of-breathness is NOT because you are out of shape. There are oxygen tanks for purchase if needed. If you are planning on hiking, take it slow. Give yourself enough time to acclimate. Please look at the University of Colorado Health article linked to further your knowledge around the stages of altitude sickness and what you can do to prevent it!

Flight

Denver International Airport

We recommend flying into Denver International Airport (DIA). The airport is approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Denver via car, or 45 minutes train ride to the historic Union Station.
