The night before Kaitlyn's grad school graduation she was going out with her parents, her roommate (Marissa) and her family. While Kaitlyn was getting ready, Marissa and her parents were in the living room. Matt walked in holding a sizeable McDonald's bag and Kaitlyn noticed he was cute. As the night went on, Kaitlyn repeatedly took Marissa to the side to remind her how cute Matt was. Walking between bars, Kaitlyn and Matt traveled side by side, talking the whole way. *Fun fact, some people noticed the immediate connection between us that they even thought we were secretly dating. Kaitlyn's reminders to Marissa went on throughout the graduation ceremony the following day....and then everyday for the next week, until (FINALLY), she gave Matt Kaitlyn's phone number. They texted everyday all day for about a month while Kaitlyn was in Kansas visiting her parents. When they were able to go on their first date Kaitlyn drove almost three hours to meet Matt at his house. She got into his super cool purple car and they headed off to Little Red Schoolhouse. Matt was such a gentleman and made sure the conversations never ended nor did they get awkward. He took her to - in Kaitlyn's opinion - the coolest grocery store to buy snacks and pick out a movie. They had a piano man for goodness sake! The following day, Kaitlyn left thinking, "this is the one." Fast forward three fun and crazy years later, Matt took Kaitlyn back to Little Red Schoolhouse where they walked the trails and stopped in front of a pond filled with lilypads. Matt dropped down on one knee and asked Kaitlyn to spend forever with him. She said yes, obviously!
