The first time Dorian and Preye met, she had started her first retail job at Home Depot. She was the cashier, he was the head cashier, and they were strangers. Every day they greeted each other and went about their workday. You could guess that Dorian enjoyed bossing Preye around and dictating her lunch breaks or what not, but Dorian was mostly passionate about the work that he did. That was what Preye noticed about him second, because the first thing was actually the color of his eyes. But don’t get too excited! That wasn’t how they came to be Dorian and Preye today. And they have one very important being to thank for it. See, the actual story goes like this… Preye got off the train at the William H. Gray lll 30th Street Station, on March 17, 2024 at around 10:10 PM. She returned from a one day visit in Lancaster and arrived in Philadelphia, after spending some time with friends. Preye immediately called for an Uber and made her way to the Dunkin' Donuts by the corner of the station. She most likely ordered hash-browns and a wake-up wrap and continued to wait for her ride home. However, the Uber driver was having difficulty getting to Preye, which prolonged her stay at the station. She stepped outside for a moment, but the coldness of the night convinced her to go back inside. Preye began to look around the lightly busy station for a place to rest and her eyes found him. Dorian was standing by the Dunkin' Donuts where she had been a few minutes ago. At the time, Preye thought, she had very mediocre eyesight, yet she was able to spot her soulmate with clarity. Now, Preye could be shy at times, but this was not the time for any of that. Preye, dragging her luggage behind her, walked up to this tall figure and spoke the words, “Hey, Dorian”. He looked up from his phone and his eyes widened in shock. What were the odds, right? But remember earlier, where it was told that an important being was to thank for it all? He goes by many names and performs many blessings. He loves you unconditionally and forgives you of your sins. Without God, there would be no Dorian and Preye. They understood that their union was formed and orchestrated by the Most High. Jesus is why their marriage will never fail. As you have read this, or not, may our Father in Heaven bless you. Amen.
