What type of attire should I wear?
Answer
Dress in vibrant colors and embrace the fun, festive spirit of our outdoor barn wedding! Think garden party meets cocktail attire, colorful summer dresses, dress pants, no ties required for the guys—while skipping the heels in favor of flats, wedges, or stylish sandals for comfort on the grass. If you are wearing jeans or an all white outfit, you will be yelled at by the bride and then abruptly escorted off the property.

When should I book my hotel?
Answer
ASAP! This small town gets busy in the summer and majority of the hotels do not offer hotel blocks so rooms are first come first serve. Please see travel details for recommended hotels where wedding transportation will be set up.

How long is the shuttle ride from the hotel to the venue?
Answer
Ok. This will be the hardest part of the evening because the shuttle ride will take about 40 min. We will try to make this ride as enjoyable as possible, and trust me when I say, the venue is worth the drive.

Can I Uber to the wedding?
Answer
No. Ride Share service are few and far between in the Galena area. The service at the venue also isn't the best because we are in the middle of farm country.

Can I park at the venue?
Answer
Absolutely! There is a large gravel parking lot at the venue. We strongly recommend taking the transportation that will be provided by the Bride and Groom so you can have some drinks and enjoy the evening. Even if you are not drinking, these farm roads are very dark, winding, and not well lit, so please be careful if you are driving. If you leave your car at the venue YOU MUST PICK IT UP BY 11AM THE NEXT MORNING or it will be towed by the venue.

What should I expect at a barn wedding?
Answer
Well, the wedding is actually next to a barn, but there are animals on the property and a lot of grass. Do no bother wearing heels. There will be lots of fresh air and animals roaming around the property, so the allergy people, bring some medication.

Only if you received a plus one. Your envelope with your wedding invite will list who is invited.

Answer
Yes! There is going to be plenty of space for the kiddos to run around at this venue. Children are also invited to the welcome event.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
Yes and no. There will be a quick moment in the beginning of the ceremony where guests will be able to snap some pictures, but after that, put the phones away. Do not ruin our wedding pictures with your cell phone. My father has paid for a wonderful photographer and I have assigned friends to take pictures during the ceremony. Our ceremony is going to be short and sweet, so sit back and enjoy it! During the cocktail hour and reception you can take as many pictures as you would like!
