We're getting married!

In February 2022, Preston and Tyra’s paths crossed through a group of mutual friends, though neither of them was particularly eager to meet. Yet, each time Tyra flew to O’ahu for vacation, they found themselves spending more and more time together, gradually peeling back the layers of their lives and getting to know one another in a way neither expected. The journey to realizing their feelings wasn’t without its bumps. Preston fondly refers to this time as their “cold war” – a back-and-forth dance of wondering if they like each other, doubting it, only to circle back once more. But seven months into their friendship, Preston couldn’t hold it in any longer and confessed the truth: he had fallen for her. Over the next sixteen months of dating, they shared countless memories. They grew side by side, supporting one another through life’s milestones; both big and small. With each passing day, they became more than just a couple; they became each other’s best friend, confidant, and rock. Through every trial and triumph, Preston became Tyra’s dream come true, and she, his.
