College World Series of Omaha

The College World Series opening weekend will be the weekend of our wedding. Great for any baseball fans! Typically there is usually a free concert on Friday night, vendors and of course baseball games. You can buy tickets online or usually from people outside of the stadium.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

For those that don't know, my (Taylor's) dad actually worked on this zoo in many of the exhibits. His job at the time was the reason we moved to Omaha! He worked for a company that does specialty concrete rockwork for zoos and aquariums. Check out his work in the Desert Dome, Kingdoms of the Night, Gorilla Exhibit and more. It is a phenomenal zoo and rated top in the world.

US Olympic Swim Trials

The US olympic Swim Trials are also happening this weekend! Tickets are available and there are likely vendors down town as well.

Quasar Drive-In

This is a brand new drive in theatre opening in spring 2021! This would be a great thing to do on Friday night and is nearby the hotels!

Eat and Drink in the Blackstone District!

This is a super cool area in the Omaha Metro with great local restaurants, shops and bars. Some of our favorite places to eat are Archetype Coffee, Blackstone Meatball, Coneflower Creamery (Ice Cream), Mula (Great tacos and margs!) and Early Bird (Breakfast and lunch) We also would suggest stopping into scriptown brewery for some local beer!

Topgolf

Explore the City of Elkhorn!

Elkhorn is Omaha's fastest growing suburb, and where Preston grew up. Some of our favorite spots are Jukes Ale Works, Maximos, The Mark (family fun center with great bowling!) and shopping at Village Pointe.

Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum

Great museum for all, especially the history, military and aviation fans.

Mahoney State Park

Mahoney State Park was a favorite camping spot for the Kuhlman family. There is a great Wave pool and kid area, horseback riding and lookout tower over the river.

Lauritzen Gardens/Kenefick Park

A must for plant and flower lovers!

Joslyn Art Museum

Dance the night away at our wedding!

Places to eat in Fremont

If you are looking for the most authentic Mexican food, we love a place called Anitas. For fast food we also suggest Raising Canes (our favorite in college) and/or Runza - a Nebraska restaurant chain.
