FAQs

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Rental cars are available at the Durango airport, but having a car is probably not necessary as we will be spending the weekend at the ranch. Uber is also available for transportation to Blue Lake Ranch.

Question

Do I have to stay at the ranch?

Answer

Yes. Once you RSVP, please call the venue directly to book your lodging at the ranch. We’re reserving every cabin and casita on the property, and we’ve already assigned accommodations for each party, so booking is simply to confirm your room and payment details. The casitas and cabins are charming and rustic, set around the lake with wildflowers and plenty of walking trails.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The weekend will be relaxed and outdoorsy. Think polished but comfortable. Layers are encouraged for cool evenings, and sturdy shoes are recommended for walking around the ranch. Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception.

Question

What will the weekend be like?

Answer

All events will take place at the ranch. Our goal is a laid-back weekend focused on good food, beautiful views, and time together. However, if you have a day or two extra to spend enjoying Durango, check out the Things To Do page for some fun activities!

Question

Is breakfast provided?

Answer

Yes! Breakfast is included and will be served each morning at the main house on the ranch.

Question

Good to know: Weather & Attire

Answer

July in southwestern Colorado typically brings warm, sunny days and cooler evenings. Daytime temperatures are often in the 70s–90s, while evenings can cool off quickly. We recommend layers, comfortable shoes, and something warm for nighttime on the ranch.

Question

Good to Know: Altitude

Answer

The ranch sits at approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. If you’re not accustomed to altitude, we recommend staying hydrated, taking it easy on arrival, and enjoying plenty of water throughout the weekend. One drink at altitude will feel like two!
