Is there a dress code?
Answer
Our wedding will embrace the magic of Star Wars, so we invite you to dress accordingly! Please don your finest Jedi robes or any other outfit inspired by the galaxy far, far away. May the Force be with you!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors at the beautiful Detroit Lake State Recreation Area. The ceremony will be starting at 8:30 PM. To avoid being late and missing anything, we recommend arriving by 8:00 pm, to ensure parking and finding a seat before it starts.

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?
Answer
We have hired an amazing photographer and they will be there to capture all the moments of the ceremony! We do kindly ask that phones be put away and silenced during the ceremony portion. Feel free to take as many photos/videos once the ceremony has ended.

Reception, Food & Drink
Answer
Since we'll be camping on-site that night, it makes perfect sense to host our reception at our campsite. We'll head over right after the ceremony to grill burgers and hot dogs, dance to some great tunes, and spend quality time together. We would love for everyone to join us in this celebration! While we won't be providing alcoholic beverages, feel free to bring your own drinks to enjoy during the celebration! You're more than welcome to share in the festivities with your favorite refreshments.

Lodging & Parking
Answer
We warmly invite you to join us for camping! Campsites are available at a rate of $22 per night and can be reserved up to 9 months in advance. Please note that the earliest booking opens in August 2025, so be sure to secure your spot early, as they are likely to fill up quickly! If you're renting a campsite, you can park up to 2 vehicles at each site. Please note that there is no additional parking available on-site, so we may need to arrange shuttle services from a nearby parking lot. We’ll provide more details as the date approaches!

Are kids invited?

Due to the limited space at our venue we have decided to keep our wedding adults only with an exception of the Bride’s daughter. We encourage you to use this as a date night to get out and have some fun!

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
Due to limited space at our venue, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one it will appear under your name when you RSVP through the website. Please be sure to list the name of the guest who will be joining you.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
You can RSVP as soon as you like! Please make sure to RSVP “yes” or “no” by April 1st, 2026 by using the QR code on your formal invitation, or by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided, it will automatically be marked as “no”. We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for your understanding!

Are you registered?
Answer
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we are so grateful for your support and love. If you feel inclined to give a gift, we would appreciate a contribution to our wedding/honeymoon fund. You can donate to our fund by clicking the Registry tab in the menu above.
