Audrey and Preston met by the luck of mutual friends. Preston's cousin Jordan was friends with Audrey's friend (now bridesmaid) Emily who introduced them at a frat-like party one winter break while Preston was home on leave and Audrey was home from college. Growing up just 20 minutes apart, the two had a lot to talk about. It was not love at first sight though, Preston repeatedly called Audrey "Aubrey" which was a recipe for a rough start. The two were able to move past this hiccup after playing a round or two of beer pong together. As Audrey and Preston were about to head their separate ways the following day, luck struck. Audrey's phone was no where to be found (typical) and Preston called it for her, like the gentleman he is, to help her find it. Because of this happenstance they had each other numbers and kept in touch over the next 6 months where their relationship grew through texting, phone calls, and Facetime while Audrey was in NY and Preston was in California. Audrey and Preston knew they were meant to be when they discovered their mutual love of pugs. Preston and Audrey officially began their relationship July 8th 2014. Audrey and Preston were long-distance for the first 3 years of their relationship, visiting each other on holidays and breaks of college. When Preston separated from the Marine Corps, he made the decision to join Audrey in NYC. Audrey and Preston got a crash course in close-distance living when they moved into a studio apartment together (yikes). Somehow their relationship thrived, and Preston proposed July 27th 2019. Audrey and Preston could not wait to start their live together so they eloped in a beautiful, private ceremony 10/11/2020. Audrey and Preston will still have a host a ceremony and reception on 10/10/2021 so their beloved friends and family can witness their love and celebrate. Cheers!
