We're getting married!

In December of 2016 I moved to Nashville for work. It was an uncertain time for me as I was starting a new position, in a new city and where I was only going to know my younger sister. Turns out only knowing my sister in a city was the key to meeting, “The love of my life”, Sara! Sara and Margaret were co-workers at EY, and Sara was always coordinating office social events/happy hours. Apparently she coordinated one and convinced Margaret to bring me and the family since we were in town house hunting. Sara and I really didn’t talk that much that night but we made eye contact a few times and I was interested in seeing her again. I learned the feeling was mutual when I asked Margaret for her number. After a little while we decided to meet up at L27 rooftop for a drink. That one drink turned into what we coined the start of “Tour De NASH” and the beginning of it all. The last 5 years have been filled with laughter, joy and lots of love! I can’t wait for what’s next on this journey with Sara!

It was our typical Saturday morning, but this time Preston woke up a bit earlier than normal. I figured he was getting up to watch golf or soccer, so I opted to stay in a bed a bit longer. If you know me.. I am not a morning person but hopeful that trait of Preston's rubs off on me soon. I am thinking the married thing will kick me into high gear :) Anyways, I went back to sleep and I was eventually woken up by the dogs jumping back into bed acting all excited like they were about to go on a walk or something. Then Preston comes in and starts telling them to "wake mommy up!" with specific directions to Bella. Boomer was screaming (if you know you know) and Bella was doing her excited dance in bed with me. I was annoyed because I am pretty sure it was only 7am LOL. As I began to wake up and my eyesight became more clear, I saw a little something hanging from Bella's collar. I looked closer and it was a ring bag! Then I looked at Preston and saw him getting on his knee at the end of the bed. I blacked out and have no idea what he said, but I said yes anyways! Preston was perfect, the ring was perfect, and I was pumped. So excited for this next chapter of our lives together! <3
