We met on a random Sunday in January 2022 — completely by chance. We’d had each other on Snapchat for a while but had never really talked. Then, one Saturday night, Presten messaged out of nowhere, and what started as a simple conversation quickly felt effortless and exciting. By the end of the night, Presten asked to go on a date the next day. I thought he was charming, funny, and so easy to talk to. He thought I was goofy, beautiful, and knew from that moment I was going to be someone special. The next afternoon, Presten drove us to a little local Mexican restaurant, where time seemed to disappear as we talked for hours and really got to know one another and details about each others lives. This date was also where we found out that Alyssa was a year and five days older. This was a huge shock to both of us as he was the one that looked much older because of his longer hair and him being a whole foot taller. We each left that date to go back to our roommates and talk endlessly about the great date. The date that sparked feelings for one another which blossomed into love that never fades. That day was the beginning of something neither of us ever saw coming, it the start of something beautiful — the beginning of our forever.
