Long story short: we met in Best Buy when Colin sold my family our phone upgrades. There was a snafu with AT&T letting us upgrade 5 at a time, so while my dad sat on the phone with customer service for 4 hours, Colin and I just talked. Later, we got to talking more and more then we just ended up dating. My dad passed in 2015 and I could not have made it through it without Colin at my side. Shortly after that, Colin joined the Air Force. He claims he wouldn't have made it through Basic Training without me and the letters I wrote, but I doubt that! From there, we did a long distance relationship and eventually Colin got to come back home. Since he has been home we have had 3 apartments some with roommates, some without. Now, we own our own home together. I was able to graduate from Butler and head to IU Fairbanks School of Public Health for my MPH. Colin is currently working in the tech and entertainment industry. He works for a company called Delta Strike that sets up Laser Tag and provides tech support. I recently got to join him for an instance in Destin. It was incredible. His job is so cool. We also have a dog together who basically rules the house and our lives. His name is Corvo, named after one of our favorite video game characters. It should come as no surprise that we both love video games and we have always felt like they are "our thing". Aside from our love of video games, we both also love puzzles, board games, movies and TV. We are looking forward to sharing our "Long Awaited Party" with you all this May. We know we've been engaged for 6 years and yes we know that you are all ready to call us the Purcells. The goal for our wedding is to give you a peek at all our favorite things and to immerse you in our love of nerd culture. So, be ready for a day of games, nerdy references, video game decor and so much more.
