Technically, our story began in the year of 2016, at the Massey's wedding when Lindsay first laid eyes on Jacob’s man bun (and pink Chelsea boots of course) and thought he was the most handsome guy she had ever seen. We ultimately went our separate ways (after never actually meeting)...but not for long. Fast forward to 2020: a not-so-simple time when the world was in lockdown, and Jacob decided to shelter in place back home instead of in Chicago. Thanks to the insistence of one Chelsey Massey, Lindsay and Jacob officially met at Chelsey’s home during one of her classic dinner parties. Then came 2021, when Lindsay finally decided to move to her favorite city: Chicago. Jacob welcomed her and Mac the very first weekend she moved with his trusted companion, Rick — also known as Wrigley — by his side. From there, the rest, as they say, is history. Between random thrifting adventures, walks in the dog park with their sons, and countless moments in between, their friendship slowly blossomed into something more. Fast forward to September 2021, when Jacob asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend at Miranda Lambert’s bar in Nashville. It should be noted that Megan Wells and Lindsay celebrated the occasion as though Lindsay and Jacob were already married. From Chicago, to Nashville, to Seattle, and finally home to Charleston, it became clear that Lindsay and Jacob were meant to be. Fast forward to August 2026, when Lindsay thought they were simply celebrating Labor Day weekend — but instead ended up celebrating their engagement and, of course, Daphne’s birthday. Our story is our favorite love story, and we cannot wait for all of you to be a part of it. Thank you for loving us, supporting us, and celebrating with us on the happiest day of our lives.
