Daniel Proposing to Presley in Santorini, Greece
Daniel and Presley’s lives were intertwined long before they understood what it meant. They were born in the same hospital in Littleton, Colorado. Years later, they walked the same halls of Rock Canyon High School. Presley was 15, a freshman when she first noticed Dan, who was 17 and a junior. Upon seeing him for the first time, running down the hallway where she was sitting with her friends, she immediately developed a crush that never went away. Time passed. They dated other people. Life moved forward. Yet their worlds kept brushing against each other in small, almost poetic ways, families living near one another, shared spaces, familiar names. It was as if something gentle and patient was at work beneath the surface. In 2020, when the world felt paused and uncertain amidst the pandemic, their story finally began. Presley had moved to California to begin again by the ocean, this time catching Daniel’s attention. One night, Dan reached out. What started as a simple message turned into long conversations that felt easy and exciting. After just days of talking, Dan booked a flight. On July 13th, 2020, they met up at Moonlight Beach. When they reunited, Daniel picked Presley up for a hug and it felt like they had finally come home after years of being away. After that, it was nervous laughter. A few teasing jokes. A moment of standing there, both smiling, both aware that this felt bigger than a reunion. They walked the shoreline talking, catching up, sharing who they had become. The conversation always moved naturally, never feeling rushed or forced. The waves were cold and playful, hands brushing, both half-laughing. Eventually, Daniel picked her up and they kissed for the first time as he walked them into the blue waters. They talked for hours that night. About the past, the future, their fears, their hopes. It felt fast, but it also felt steady. Three days later, on July 16th, 2020 Daniel asked Presley to be his girlfriend. Instead of flying home, he stayed. What followed were months of road trips, long drives, shared playlists, sunsets, and learning to be side by side in both closeness and freedom. Love revealed itself slowly, not just in big moments, but in patience, humor, and choosing each other again the next morning. And they’ve been choosing each other ever since. They moved into a tiny studio apartment in San Diego. It was small, but it was theirs. In that space, they learned that home is not square footage, it is presence. For they will always be home as long as they have each other, no matter where they are. Since then, they have continued building a life rooted in both adventure and commitment growing, working, studying, traveling, dreaming. Today, Daniel and Presley live in a beautiful apartment in Oceanside, California. Daniel is working toward his graduate hours as he prepares for the next chapter of his education, and Presley is finishing her bachelors degree, each pursuing the future they have worked so hard to build. Moonlight Beach will always be where their love became clear. We are honored to have you here with us, sharing in our story and the beginning of this next chapter.
