Where should I park?

Answer

Parking for the ceremony is available in the large lot in front of the Veterans Museum (2115 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101). Please note that Balboa Park parking is paid parking for most guests at a rate of $2.50 per hour until 6:00 PM, after which parking becomes free. Most guests will only need to pay for parking from approximately 3:00 PM–6:00 PM. The reception will be held at the Marston House, approximately 10 minutes away by car. We recommend guests drive themselves between locations and encourage carpooling when possible. Reception parking is available along Balboa Park (3201 Sixth Ave San Diego, CA 92102)

Will there be time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be about a 30-minute window after the ceremony for guests to enjoy Balboa Park, take photos, and spend time together. Guests can begin heading to the reception around 4:00 pm, arriving shortly thereafter. The reception will be held in a beautiful garden and museum, perfect for enjoying the space and taking photos.

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal garden party. We encourage colorful, bright summer attire—think light fabrics and florals. For men, collared shirts with slacks or a blazer are perfect.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

We recommend wearing shoes that are comfortable for walking on grass and uneven ground. Flats, wedges, or shoes with a wider heel are great options. We suggest avoiding stilettos.

Will there be drinks?

Answer

This will be a dry wedding, and no alcohol will be provided. We will have a selection of refreshing beverages available for all guests to enjoy.
