Train

Trains!

Matt loves trains and loves to promote car-free options for travel to the Northampton area. Amtrak offers limited options direct to Northampton (NHT) via its Valley Flyer and Vermonter services. Northampton's train station is located in the heart of downtown and the wedding venue and accommodations are each located a 5- to 10-minute rideshare trip away from the train station. For more frequent train services to Western MA, Matt recommends arriving at Springfield (SPG), which features nearly hourly arrivals from NYC and points south via Amtrak or CTRail in combination with MetroNorth. Springfield is located about 20 minutes south of Northampton and rideshare between Springfield's train station and Northampton is estimated at $25-30 each direction. Flight Options

Western Massachusetts is conveniently located near Bradley International Airport (BDL), approximately a 45-minute drive from Northampton. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is a larger airport, approximately two hours away. For those seeking a car-free weekend, CTRail offers hourly train service between BDL and Springfield, where rideshare can take you to Northampton. See "Trains!" for more information. There is no car-free option from Boston.
