How We Met: Presh's Version

I was swiping on Bumble (which swiping on women was a whole new thing for me), when I happened upon this beautiful girl! Her profile was interesting, photos cute, so I decided to swipe right indicating that I was interested. it was a match! Sorsha messaged me first with the smoothest entrance, and I immediately replied. We talked for about three days, and our first date was set! We met in a mutual location to grab Mexican food. Our date lasted 3 hours, and was filled with drinks, so much laughter, and good conversation. I knew I was interested in seeing her again. fairly quickly. Sorsha and I set our second date that night for a week and a half later. About three days later, I had a little liquid courage to ask Sorsha on a breakfast date to see her before our planned second date. She accepted, and we spent the morning drinking coffee, eating breakfast, and playing the card game We're Not Really Strangers. I left that breakfast date (date 1.5) knowing that she was special, and I wanted to continue to get to know her, and the rest is history! After date 1.5 (as we affectionately refer to it as), I kept seeing Sorsha and decided to she was definitely worth keeping around.

How We Met: Sorsha's Version

Once upon a time in Oak Lawn, I made a Bumble profile (also with the help of a little liquid courage) and found a beautiful girl who liked true crime and tex mex. I asked her if she'd want to get tacos and margs, and thankfully it wasn't long until we met for dinner. (This did not stop me from continuing to try to talk to her even before the date.) It was the best first date of my life, and I immediately knew I was in trouble--it felt like we'd been friends for years. We made more plans to hang out, and then we never stopped. It was simply impossible not to fall in love with her. Since then, Presh has brought me kindness, belly laughs, flowers, comic books on bad days, and more wonderful adventures than I ever dreamed of. She's driven through the night for me to reach family, and she's taken care of me when I'm sick (see: dual covid on her 27th birthday). My days with her have been the happiest of my life, and I know the best is yet to come. I've always been nervous about what the future holds, but now it doesn't seem so scary. Now it feels exciting because I've got my best friend by my side.
