What should I wear?

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is formal. This means dresses below the knee for ladies, and suits for men. Please, no white!

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

The RSVP date will be on the formal invitation and updated on this site once it has been finalized.

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

If you are unable to make it, we will miss you! Please let us know as soon as you know, or choose the 'Unable to Attend' option when you RSVP. If you have responded that you are able to attend, but are no longer able to, please let Jon or Jill know ASAP .

Question

What time does the wedding start?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 5pm. Please arrive no later than 4:45pm to ensure a prompt beginning.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to size limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests that are listed on your invitation. If you have a plus one, they will be listed on your invitation and under your name in the RSVP section. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are my children invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids, but we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place under a tent outside and the reception will be indoors, rain or shine!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, drinks are on us!

Question

Where can I stay nearby?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Simsbury Inn. On the "Travel" page, there is a link to book your room at our discounted rate! There is transportation provided to and from this hotel prior to the ceremony and towards the end of the reception.

Question

Can I take photos during the wedding?

Answer

We ask that during our ceremony phones and cameras remain away. We have hired professionals to capture every moment, and we will share everything with you afterwards! During cocktail hour and the reception, please feel free to take and post photos, just be mindful of the professionals during special moments!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you need accommodations during mealtime, please let us know when you RVSP and choose your dinner. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the food at the venue!
