The wedding procession involves the groom and his family and friends traveling to the bride's home or wedding venue on horseback or in a decorated vehicle surrounded by family and friends dancing to the beat of music. Panigrahana: The bride and groom hold hands and promise to support each other. Saptapadi (Seven Steps): The couple takes seven steps around a sacred fire, with each step representing a vow. Mangalsutra and Sindoor: The groom ties a sacred necklace (mangalsutra) around the bride’s neck and applies sindoor (vermilion powder) to her forehead, symbolizing their marital status.
