Insert Cheesy Title

As told by Elizabeth: I had always known of Robby as the skinny red-headed brother of one of my friends throughout high school. I wanted to become friends with him because I thought he was cool and whenever I did interact with him, he was pretty funny! We both went to the same dances, events and church retreats, although we never got close until quarantine in 2020. (Which is ironic because we were perpetually 50 miles away from each other. Lots of phone calls! ) We started chatting through Facebook Messenger and never stopped haha. We would text and call each other for a few hours each day and he very quickly became one of my best friends. Robby developed feelings for me really early on in quarantine, but it took him a solid year before he worked up the nerve to tell me! In the summer of 2021, we both signed up to serve a TEC retreat (Teens Encounter Christ) together in Hutchinson. A little while before the retreat, I had fallen for his charming personality but was convinced that he didn't share my same feelings. It had become too hard having a close friendship with him when I liked him so much. My plan was to tell him that last day of our retreat that we needed space and that we could not be friends until I had gotten over him. And what's hilarious to me now is that on that very same day of our retreat, he had been acting really strange! Super spaced out, kinda nervous, and he wouldn't eat his lunch...I knew something was very wrong!! Haha! I had been worried all day. In the evening, before the retreat was wrapping up, Robby approached me and asked me to go on a walk with him. Now I was really worried! He started stuttering through his sentences (he's so cute) and finally broke the news to me. "Elizabeth, I've liked you for a while now." I couldn't believe my ears... "What? No you don't," is what I told him!! haha Then I frantically started to explain to him that I had planned to call him that night when we got home to tell him that we couldn't see each other anymore because I was so sure that he didn't like me that way! We both started laughing. God has a sense of humor. We went on our official first date on August 17th, 2021, the day that Robby came back from summer vacation with his family. From the minute I started dating Robby, I felt pure joy. I've never had any doubts that he was the young man God had in mind for me from the beginning and I'm so excited to become his wife! As told by Robby: We came, we saw, we conquered.
