Even if you aren't staying at the resort, it has great restaurants and bars and is worth checking out! CDA Resort has the longest floating dock surrounding it, where you can walk and get an amazing view of the lake! You might be able to catch some planes landing on the water.
Tubbs is an awesome, mild/moderate hike (about a 2 mile loop). It starts and ends in McEuen Park, but you can get a spectacular view of the lake and even get down to the water. We would highly recommend!!
Fun Fact: Hayden Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in the world. This is a fun and popular spot to hang out and enjoy the view, or walk around the long dock. Sometimes you can even catch bald eagles flying over the lake :)
Coeur d'Alene is known for its love of coffee! There are hundreds of small drive-thru spots, as well as cute places to hang! We LOVE CDA coffee co and go very often!
Right next to the CDA Resort is a walk-through mall with lots of local shops and fun places to browse! It starts near the entrance of the Resort and leads out to downtown CDA, which has tons more of local shops, restaurants, and bars! All a must-do :)
One thing we've learned about living here is everyone LOVES sourdough (and probably makes their own). This bakery hand makes everything from scratch with their sourdough and it's AMAZING! Try everything from sweet treats to pizza and sandwiches! Walkable from downtown :)
Beverly's is upstairs in the Resort and has a beautiful view of Tubb's Hill and Lake CDA! We love going for happy hour and grabbing drinks and apps.
McEuen Park is a huge grassy area with lots of trees, park benches, and a view of the lake. It leads right up to the Tubb's Hill hike as well. This is a great place to grab some sandwiches to-go (our favorite is Local Deli) and hang out!
