10 years ago at the wonderful University of South Carolina, Pranv first laid eyes on Kristi while she was giving a speech at a Indian Cultural Exchange student meeting. He was immediately intrigued and wanted to meet her. Kristi was providing all of the details about bhangra team tryouts at Strom Thurmond Wellness & Fitness Center. Conveniently, Kristi was struggling to find an extra guy for their 14 person roster that year. When Pranv showed up, she was determined she could get him in shape for their upcoming competition. Little did she know that Pranv had two left feet. She worked extra hard to get him up to speed. It was not until Garba that year that she first noticed him, though. He was garba-ing away and she was impressed that he knew how to do Garba. Later that night in IHOP she was also impressed with his Antakshari skills when he stood up and sang "Gore Gore Mukhde Pe Kala Kala Chasma." Needless to say they both had so much in common, and it was not long before they established a beautiful bond and became the best of friends. Almost a year later at a USC football game, Pranv asked Kristi out in the cheesiest way possible (with all of the cheese AND jalapenos included). He had a box of pizza reading "Will you go out with me or is this too cheesy?" How could she say no?! They both dated for 9 years experiencing and supporting each other through so many of life's up and downs while they pursued their careers. As they became apart of each other's worlds and families, they both planned a meet a greet for their families to come together. Shortly after, Pranv had began planning the most perfect proposal.

Pranv planned a 10 day trip to Croatia. She was given a packing list by her best friends and the two set off for the airport. The lady checking in the bags asked, "Can you confirm your destination?" That is the moment Pranv said "Croatia" and Kristi found out where they were going! He planned the entire itinerary covering all aspects of this country from Split to Hvar to Zadar! After all these adventures, Pranv planned the longest, most scenic drive en route to Dubrovnik passing through Bosnia. Little did Kristi know that this journey would also be the day where Pranv would get down on one knee. Pranv told Kristi to get ready because they were going on a fancy boat trip. He remained calm and told her he needed to go move the car as she frantically got ready. She was so car sick from the long drive and, of course, was running late. In the mean time he made sure all his plans were in place. He wrote a note giving Kristi instructions on where to meet him. This location was filled with palm trees and yellow jasmine trees overlooking the vast Adriatic sea with the Old Town walls of Dubrovnik perfectly placed behind. The sun was shining bright as Pranv got down on one knee giving a heart felt speech reflecting on their 9 years together. He asked "Mujshe Shaadi Karoge?" Kristi, for the first time in her life, was at a complete loss for words as she said YES! They immediately hopped on a video call filled with their nearest and dearest! It was everything Kristi could have dreamed of and more. The surprises were still not over! The two ventured onto their photoshoot in the Old Town of Dubrovnik only to come back to the most breath taking sunset dinner from the Palm Terrace surrounded by candles, flowers, crystal chandeliers, and pictures of all of their families. They spent the night being served a five course dinner, Facetiming their loved ones, and soaking up one of the most iconic moments in their life. They could not wait to get home to celebrate with everyone!
