Her Story I first met him in an Earth Science class in 2008, and we started hanging out after class to work on class assignments. It was always so much fun when we would get together for studying when instead, we usually ended up playing Badminton and snacking on instant noodles. It was friendship at first sight, and love followed. In a crowded pizza hut, while seated next to a table with a screaming baby, I let him know that I had a crush on him, and he said quietly, "me too.". We have had our ups and downs over the past 11 years, including us receiving a Ph.D. degree. Our struggles in grad school have only increased my love and respect for him. The grace with which he carries himself every day (except while dancing) makes me love him all the more. As the adage goes, "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they're yours; if not, they never were". Both Tarun and I have long wished we could quietly elope. However, our parents have won the battle, and so we're having a big Indian wedding. His Story She was wearing a red top with khaki cargo pants and had just entered the classroom with such aplomb that I can never forget. That is how I first saw Prajvala and was completely enamored by her! What followed was late-night badminton matches, long chats, pizzas, cakes, and assignments. A delightful friendship that we shared soon turned into something more meaningful while savoring pizza and sipping lemonade (cf. Her Story). Moments spent with her are a real pleasure and conversations with her have as much satire as Wodehouse. Her spontaneity is usually only a few blocks away, and yet I feel incredibly calm when I am with her. I feel complete with her. I admire her, love her very much, and am so very excited to spend the rest of my moments with her :)
