León/Guanajuato International Airport (BJX)
Volaris is one of the only airlines that offers direct flights to Leon. Volaris usually has early arrival flights to GTO. As a recommendation, Adrian and I usually book a 1 night stay at Hampton Inn By Hilton Silao-Aeropuerto Bajio in Predio Rosa De Castilla after our flight to rest before heading to the city. This hotel offers a free shuttle to the hotel from the airport and is super clean.

Booking a car is optional not needed in our opinion. The city of Guanajuato is a short 15-20min taxi drive from the airport. Once inside the city, there really isn’t a need for a car as everything is walking distance.
