Wander through vibrant tropical wildlife exhibits, swim in crystal-clear waters, and discover the magic of Mexico like never before. Absolutely DO NOT, DO NOT miss the Xcaret México Espectacular (the night show)—an unforgettable evening show featuring more than 300 artists that takes you on a breathtaking journey through the history, culture, and spirit of Mexico. You know my love for animals and that is why I love it here. There is so much to explore like the Coral Reef Aquarium, the Aviary, the Turtle Sanctuary, and the Butterfly Pavilion. Xcaret is a must-visit destination that will leave everyone in awe of the splendor of Mexico.
Chichén-Itzá
Looking for an unforgettable and meaningful activity to add to your visit to Mexico Chichén Itzá, (not Chicken Pizza) is a must! Chichen Itza is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient Mayan city, with its iconic pyramid El Castillo, offers a breathtaking setting steeped in history, mysticism, and natural beauty. Strolling through the ruins hand-in-hand is like stepping back in time—an inspiring experience that connects you to centuries of culture in Mexico. A visit to Chichén Itzá isn't just sightseeing—it's a one of the world's most awe-inspiring locations. We have done this on a public tour and a private tour and we highly suggest a private tour. Ask Bibi she has all the contacts. She knows a guy! Warning it's about a 3 hr trek to get there.
Mesoamerican Barrier Reef Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos
Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos is a fun, easygoing, and memorable activity that's perfect for our wedding guests looking to enjoy a bit of adventure while still keeping things relaxed. Puerto Morelos is a quiet, laid-back fishing village close to the Grand Residence. It’s known for its access to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, just a few hundred meters offshore. That means you don’t need to take a long boat ride—just a quick hop out to some of the most colorful and lively reef areas in the Caribbean. You can expect to see brightly colored tropical fish like parrotfish and angelfish. Gorgeous coral formations and sea fans. You can also spot a few rays, sea turtles, or moray eels on occasion. Most tours are 1.5 to 2 hours, guided by local experts, and include gear and life vests. The water is calm and shallow, making it beginner-friendly, even for non-swimmers with a floatation device. We love it so much and we have terrible vision we bought prescription snorkel gear-Game Changer!

Tulum
Visiting Tulum is a perfect activity to include in your itinerary while attending our wedding in the Riviera Maya. It offers a mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural discovery, making it ideal for our guests looking to make the most of their trip. Perched on cliffs overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea, these ancient Mayan ruins are a must-see. It's a scenic and culturally rich excursion that typically takes a couple of hours. Relax on White Sand Beaches: Tulum’s beaches are quieter and more bohemian than those in Cancun. Nearby cenotes like Gran Cenote or Cenote Calavera offer unique freshwater swimming experiences in natural limestone sinkholes. Don't forget to browse local boutiques, try farm-to-table restaurants, sip on mezcal cocktails, or grab a smoothie at a beachfront café. Tulum offers a well-balanced mix of leisure, culture, and adventure, making it a standout activity that complements the celebratory mood of our destination wedding trip.
Puerto Morelos
One of our favorite reasons to go to Puerto Morelos! We love a good town square, and let me tell you the square in Puerto Morelos is beautiful! It’s where the action happens. And when we say ‘action’ in Puerto Morelos, we mean a farmer’s market, restaurants and tourist shops. It’s such a great place to hang out and enjoy the beauty of Puerto Morelos.
Monumento Ruta de los Cenotes
If you are an explorer and adventurer at heart, you can’t miss out on enjoying at least one cenote experience. You may be asking, “What is a cenote?” That is a very good question, and the answer is one of Mexico’s best-kept secrets! The Yucatan peninsula was at one time entirely under water. Now, below the limestone shelf, underground rivers flow throughout the region. Cenotes are sinkholes through the limestone, leading to flooded caves and beautifully blue freshwater pools. They are absolutely magical, stirring the imagination. You can almost picture the ancient Maya hustling through the jungle, taking advantage of the crystal clear fresh water and the fish that thrive there. Nowadays, locals and visitors alike love the fact the water is cool–sometimes even bordering on cold–providing refreshing relief from the hot, humid summers.
