Our Story
2014. When Ebola was the world's deadliest outbreak, when Joe Biden was still our Vice President, and when Iggy Azalea was still somewhat relevant. It was also the year an overachieving 17-years-old Chinese boy from the Chicago suburbs first met an Indian girl from the equally-as-boring Seattle suburbs, who matched his naive, overzealous drive to make a dent in the universe. What started as a dorm room romance Freshman year blossomed into the adventure of a lifetime for both of them. From launching a 501(c)(3) non-profit to climbing The Great Wall of China together and every moment in between, Derek and Prabha always brought out the best in each other. While they've been together now for 7 years, they love with a love that feels eternal. Their friends joke that their love transcends generations over cycles of reincarnation itself. Come celebrate their wedding, in this life, in Cabo this year! They are immensely thrilled and humbled to celebrate with you all.
