We "met" through a dating site and decided we would meet up for ice cream one July evening in 2016. Both of us being new to the Raleigh area felt this would be a nice way to meet new people. After spending 4+ hours at this ice cream shop talking and walking around the area we mutually wanted to see each other again, the rest is history.

We took a trip down to Emerald Isle, North Carolina for April's birthday. The day before her birthday, it was a rainy day at the beach. We spent the morning doing things indoors like getting donuts, pedicures and going to the pine knolls aquarium. As we were eating subs at the beach house, John insisted we take a walk down to the beach between the rain showers. While walking down on the beach access, John sped up in front of April and suddenly popped the question where the sand met the steps. The beach was totally empty and ideal for all the hugging and happy tears shared afterwards. This place will forever have a special place in our hearts!
