Swiped right and took a chance. We matched and that was the beginning of our forever. Drew messaged me for my number on May 21, 2019, but I was not comfortable with that, so i gave him my snap chat! We messaged back and forth on there for a few weeks. He told me that when he got back to Wichita(he was at the lake with his dad) that he was going to take me out on a date... well, I chickened out 😂. We talked some more and got to know each other more over a couple more months. In August, we tried again, our schedules did not match up, but never did we have a falling out. December 19th, 2019, Drew text me and said he was going back home to California and when he came home December 28th, 2019, he was taking me out and he was not taking no for an answer. He called me every morning and night while he was there and text me all throughout the day to make sure that I would not bail. The flights home he called me on his layover and when he got home to make sure we was going on that date! I was so nervous I went to get a mani/pedi while waiting for him to land. We went to Bricktown Brewery that evening and then back to his place for a movie. I was shocked that Drew wanted a second date and chose New Years 2020. We went to my brothers for a few hours, BJs for dinner, and then watched fireworks out his tiny bedroom window. After our second date we were together EVERY weekened. A few weeks later we were having dinner at his apartment and he told me I was his girlfriend and that started our ForeverAfterAll.
We planned a mini vacation to Hot Springs, Arkansas. The vacation started off rocky as the hotel we booked was dirty and we knew we could not allow the kids to stay in room full of cigarette smoke. So we left and booked a room at another hotel. It took all afternoon for this hotel to get our request. We wanted to go to the Garvan Woodland Gardens but needed to get all our stuff in the hotel. Once we were settled into our hotel room, it was too late to go. We went to dinner, which by the way, was the worst restaurant ever. Then, we went back to the hotel to start over the next day. Saturday, May 28th, we went to the Garvan Woodland Gardens, I was emotional and 6 months pregnant, so I already cried that morning over nothing. We found the Anthony Chapel, FINALLY, we looked around and I could tell that Drew had something on his mind but I was not sure what. He had his backpack, that only had a water bottle in it, but I did not question it. We walked out of the Chapel and the kids wanted pictures on the rock. I was taking their pictures and I turned around to ask if Drew wanted a picture as well with this beautiful background and he stood there with a beautiful ring shinning so bright in the sunlight. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had this beautiful moment planned for months. We’ve talked about getting married for awhile but unexpectedly he proposed in Arkansas. Where we can go back to this chapel and remember the emotions that went through our bodies that day. This was the next chapter of our lives. Oh, I said YES!
