What is the wedding hashtag?

Answer

A wedding hashtag will allow guests to share their photos of the wedding and the events leading up to it online. This link is connected to Facebook and Instagram. Just add the hashtag to the caption of the photo when posting to social media: #closertoclosson

What do guests wear?

Answer

We are planning for an elegant and timeless evening. This will be a Formal, Black tie optional or business casual event. Suits, khakis and button-ups, formal dresses and cocktail dresses are acceptable. Please no jeans, ball caps, shorts or flip flops.

Where do guests sit?

Answer

While there are no assigned seats, each guest will be assigned a table number. This is to ensure that all tables are being used to capacity without gaps in seating.

Sparkler Send off?

Answer

The end of the event will be signaled by the sparkler send off! Guests will say farewell to couple by sending them off with sparklers! This is scheduled to occur between 9:45 and 10pm.

What about drinks?

Answer

Each guest will get 2 drink tickets that may be used throughout the evening. Drinks will then be purchased by guests upon using their 2 tickets. There will a bar in the event room as well in the restaurant.

Are there non-alcoholic options?

Answer

In addition to soda, water and teas a java bar will be provided for the entirety of the event.

Whats a "warming of the rings" ceremony?

Answer

During this non-religious ceremony, the couple will ask guests to participate in the warming of the rings. The wedding rings will be passed throughout the guests for prayers, well wishes, positive vibes, blessings and whatever other positivities the guests would like to share and pass onto the couple. The warming of the rings will conclude upon the couple recieving and then exchanging them.

What do I bring for a gift?

Answer

Please note that we consider your presence as enough of a gift. However if you'd still like to purchase we were conscious in choosing nice yet affordable products. We also have some money funds if you'd like to contribute to that instead on the Zola registry. We have 3 registries: Zola website has it's own registry. Rooms at the site of the reception?

Answer

Longfellows is a restaurant and hotel. There is currently a block for 10 rooms for guests to book should they choose, up to 45 days before the wedding. It may be possible to book rooms after the 45 days before the wedding but rooms cannot be guaranteed.

What are the menu options?

Answer

Please include your menu selection when you RSVP. We are pleased to offer one of the following options for each guest: -Chicken Saltimbocca - Flavored with Sage, prosciutto, and whole milk mozzarella with a white white garlic sauce. -Bonless Angus Short Ribs- With a robust beefy Au Jus. -Vegetarian Option - TBD

Who is invited?

Answer

Formal paper invitations will be mailed out. Invitees will be identified by name on the envelope. Due to financial limitations please keep RSVPs limited to who is named on your envelope. At this time we are unable to accomodate large groups additions or plus ones not already indicated. You can RSVP online on this website or use the mail in card.
