Is there a dress code?

Answer

- Semi-Formal (nice Western wear is acceptable for all our country folks) We really encourage you to wear black, gray, or other dark colors so the wedding party who will be in colors (bride included) can shine! - Please avoid green and pink if possible!

Can I bring additional guests?

Answer

If their name is not on the invite, then we ask that you not bring any additional people.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are more than happy to have them! The bride and groom's immediate family's children will be in attendance, just keep in mind there will be alcohol present so use your best judgement when it comes to bringing them along.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but the cocktail hour will be outside under a covered patio (with ceiling fans!)

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you arrive with enough time to park and find your seats in the chapel, 30 minutes before the ceremony minimum is encouraged as the doors will be closed 10 minutes before 4 pm.

What if my child gets fussy at the ceremony?

Answer

We encourage all our guests with young children to sit on the right side of the chapel as there is an exit to bathrooms and outside in case anyone needs to take a short break!

Can I have my phone out during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony but will have time announced by the officiant when it is okay to take out your phones for pictures of the couple at the altar!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will a cash bar where alcohol will be available for purchase, but only tea, sodas, and water will be served without charge.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please contact the bride or groom as soon as possible with any food allergies or restrictions so we can ensure you have food readily available for you!

Is there a hotel block reserved?

Answer

No, since most of Comfort's lodging are small B&B's, we will not have a lodging block. We have listed a few locations to stay in Comfort and the surrounding cities in the "Travel" section of the website.

Please feel free to use the registry as a reference guide, do not feel pressured to use the brands listed as we definitely recognize some are quite pricey (we didn't want to make several registries, so we utilized the one through the Zola website!). To us your presence at the wedding is gift enough, but if you do want to get us a little something we won't say no! The items that were not available to add would be anything oddities / curiosities related, the bride has an extensive pinned bug and rock collection and is always looking for more to join the family!
