Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sarah Powderly and David Mykrantz
We're so excited to celebrate with you in Santa Barbara! Since most events will take place downtown, we've gathered some favorite spots that are walkable, easy to explore, and very "Santa Barbara". September is one of the best months to visit- sunshine, ocean breezes, and beautiful sunsets.

State Street Shops, Restaurants, & Cafes

State Street is the heart of downtown and full of restaurants, bars, and cafes. It's very walkable, with boutiques, souvenir shops, and local brands. Perfect for strolling, people-watching, and easy dining.

The Funk Zone

A lively neighborhood near downtown with wine tasting rooms, breweries, art galleries, and casual eateries. Great for an afternoon or early evening hang.

Beaches and Outdoor Spots

East Beach & West Beach: wide, sandy beaches just a short walk or ride from downtown- great for morning walks, biking, or relaxing by the ocean. Stearns Wharf: historic pier with ocean views, shops, and seafood- an easy and scenic stroll from downtown. Shoreline Park: a bit north of downtown, but worth it for dramatic coastal views and beautiful sunsets.

Santa Barbara Public Market

A local food hall with something for everyone, great for casual lunches, coffee, or a quick bite between activities.

Santa Barbara County Court House

Free to walk around, with stunning Spanish-style architecture, beautiful gardens, and a clock tower with panoramic views of the city and ocean.

Santa Barbara Museum of Art

A cultural stop with a mix of American, European, and Asian art.

Tours and Experiences

Santa Barbara Trolley Tour: a fun, low-key way to see the city if you don't feel like walking everywhere. Harbor Cruises & Boat Tours: sunset cruises or harbor tours are available. Bike Rentals & Waterfront Paths: Santa Barbara is very bike-friendly, especially along the beach and waterfront.
