Church Street is a pedestrian-only zone in the heart of downtown Burlington. A stroll down Church Street is a quintessential part of living in Burlington. Full of shops, restaurants, and art galleries there is always something to do. Go to HomePort, a four-story shop with almost anything you could think of, the first inspiration behind Pier-1 Imports. You can swing by Ken's for some poutine, being so close to Canada definitely has its perks! You can end the day at a Ben & Jerry's flagship store for a good scoop.
A huge benefit of living in the Green Mountain State is the wonderful hikes we can explore from viewing the change of leaves on the top of Killington to walking the bike path over Lake Champlain. We have explored a few, but our favorite location is close to home at Mt. Philo.
Burlington boasts tons of breweries and some of the best ciders you will find in the US. Morgan has spent many a work event at Burlington Beer Company and swears by the french fries!
You can't visit Burlington without a taste of Ben & Jerry's from the source! Hannah's favorite flavor is Dirt Cake and Morgan's is Churray for Churro!
In Vermont, soft serve is called a creemee! Only available March through October, creemees are a staple for Vermont summertime. We think Palmer Lane has one of the best! Try a maple creemee with maple sprinkles!
VT Cider Lab is where we go nearly every week for Thursday Trivia! Though we've never won, this activity has brought us some of our closest friends in Vermont. Try the Luna!
This is where we got engaged!
Welcome to Dairy Country! Check out the Cabot Creamery annex store, where you can taste-test some cheese and browse local wines!
A great place to taste-test some wonderful alcohol made right here in Vermont. You can't miss the bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup.
Zero Gravity was first introduced to us as a brunch spot! Hosting coffee and waffles every morning, Zero Gravity is a well-rounded spot: great food, good brews, games, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Champlain College is a small private college located in the Hill Section of Burlington. Champlain is where Morgan works! Many of the buildings are renovated Victorian-era mansions, making for a beautiful campus and a beautiful view of Lake Champlain.
The University of Vermont is a public college located in Burlington. UVM is where Hannah works! UVM boasts an essential medical center, R1 status, and a buzzing student union building (thanks to Hannah)!
