Alex and Maggie began their journey meeting on the big yellow school bus taking them to school, sheepishly speaking to each other across the aisle. Maggie remembers confiding in her friend, whispering about how she hoped Alex would ask her to the upcoming prom. The next few bus rides were uneventful, but then one faithful ride the subject of prom came up. Suddenly, Maggie felt a *whack* on her arm from a blushing Alex, asking "hey.....wanna go to prom together?" Maggie quickly answered YES! They didn't speak for the next two weeks. They were too smitten by each other, and out of fear of embarrassing themselves, no words were exchanged. But, prom came and went, and they knew their relationship would be one that lasted. Through high school, separate colleges, traveling abroad and then graduate schools, they have finally been able to settle down and begin their lives. After almost a decade of being together, they are looking forward to the best yet to come.
