Sweltering. Humid. Hot. It was August in DeKalb, Illinois. A girl—far too early for her first day of class—sat across from a sleepy boy who had just come down from his dorm. One class after another, the two became inseparable. Who could have known they were star-crossed? From 2017 to 2026, Michael and Christine followed their hearts—and each other—through every high and low. Her endearing optimism and his grounded realism carried them through it all, leading them to this moment. We are honored to present the next chapter of their love story: Marriage. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
