Paige is one of Heather’s idols. She took Heather under her wing as a fellow teacher and helped her pave the path to finding who she is as an educator. Through working together so closely, they have developed a very special friendship. They are now teaching partners at Tunstall Middle School, and have more fun than two people should when they are in the same room. Paige is the proud mama of her little girl, Elise, who is as smart as she is beautiful, and the wife of Mr. Matthew Hines of Danville, VA.

Heather and Hayley have been friends since middle school! Through years of cheerleading, high school adventures, college struggles, and learning how to “adult,” their friendship has held the test of time. Hayley is a teacher at Thales Academy in Apex, NC, and also a cheerleader for the Carolina Hurricanes.
Courtney Meadows

Courtney and Heather met in high school at a scholarship lunch, and then sealed their friendship in college at Averett University. Courtney and Heather had each other through tough times and break throughs in college, and are so glad to have each other still to this day as their friendship continues to grow. Courtney is a first grade teacher at G.W. Carver Elementary School in Henry County.
Megan Lakey

Heather officially met Megan her first year teaching at TMS. Megan mentored Heather, and they became friends instantly. They learned that they have so much in common... They even worked at the same nail salon in college, just at different times. Megan moved to Florida for a year with the man of her dreams. Heather hoped that Megan would come back home (and bring Andrew with her). Her prayers were answered! She is back in Danville! She is again working at Tunstall Middle and is making everyone smile just like old times. Megan is the new and proud mother of Teagan Elizabeth, and is engaged to Mr. Andrew Walker.
Troy Walker

Troy and Zach have been friends since kindergarten. They won the superlative “Partners in Crime” in high school, and have always been as thick as thieves. Troy helped introduce Heather to Zach since Heather met Troy in college. Troy is an Accountant for DHG in Norfolk, Virginia.
Alex Lewis
Groomsman
Alex, better known as, “Lew,” and Zach were college roommates. Though college years came to a close, that didn’t stop their friendship from continuing on. Zach and Lew remain in close contact even though they live four hours apart. They confide in each other in worldly issues and also the challenges and triumphs of adulthood. Lew is self employed and lives in Washington, DC.
Andrew Potojecki

Andrew is Zach’s brother and life long friend. He is 20 years young, and is a Junior at Longwood University. He is majoring in Business Administration. Andrew plays baseball for the Longwood Lancers.
Luke Simpson
Groomsman
Luke grew up in the Danville area just like Zach, and they even competed in baseball against each other, but it wasn’t until college that their friendship was confirmed. They both were pitchers for Longwood University. Since Luke and Zach both live in Danville, they meet for dinner and rounds golf regularly to keep the glory days alive.
