3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Please join us for a casual backyard reception in honor of the marriage of Taylor and Max! We’ll be serving a delicious Indian vegetarian buffet (no meat, eggs, or alcohol) and keeping things low-key — good food, good company, and lots of love. In keeping with the sacred nature of the traditional Hindu Vivaha ceremony, we kindly ask that no meat, eggs, or alcohol be brought into the ceremony or reception space. You’re welcome to enjoy any additional food or drink at your accommodations before or after the celebration. ⸻ Note: We’ll also be hosting a second casual reception in Albuquerque, NM this spring. You’re warmly welcome to attend one, both, or neither — whatever works best for you. Please don’t feel any pressure — we simply want to celebrate with the people we love, near or far.
7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
The Vivaha Ceremony will begin at 7 PM and will include several hours of sacred South Indian rituals and prayers. Your presence is deeply meaningful to us. This traditional ceremony is a joyful and spiritual event — at times solemn, at times celebratory. For example, there will be a moment where guests are invited to come forward and gently shower us with rice as a blessing for prosperity and happiness. Please know that your participation is entirely optional — we understand this part of the evening may not be the right fit for everyone.
