So he was my boss... I got into a car accident on my first day of work. Hours later, I finally arrived a total mess. Daniel was the first person I saw, but in my panic, I just started looking for someone I knew. Even though I remember thinking he was cute, I totally ignored him when he tried to introduce himself to me. He came and calmed me down, and he was so patient with me during my entire freak out. I was sold. I decided right then that we were going to end up dating. - Morgan
Dan and I had slowly started to become friends, and I was secretly harboring a humongous crush on him. Well... I guess it wasn't so secret because Dan apparently knew the whole time, but he chose November 11th to talk to me about it. We had been out with some friends from the office (where Dan was my boss), and he was bringing me back to my car. He immediately launched into this speech, wherein he was basically trying to break up with me before we had ever started dating. But when he got to the part where he mentioned how much he liked me, I completely stopped listening. I had thought this whole time that he wasn't interested. The second he stopped talking, I took a chance and kissed him. It was probably the bravest thing I've ever done in my life. It definitely paid off too. - Morgan
Early January of 2017, there was a snowstorm in Atlanta (meaning we probably got like 4-5 inches), and the city shut down. Morgan and I were spending time together and ended up getting cooped up into her college dorm. Luckily, we had done some grocery shopping, and we had a crockpot. We spent all day together, snowed in, on Friday the 6th. We ate frozen lasagna for 2 out of 3 meals of the day, and then later on actually had a proper meal Morgan made (Chicken, cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, slow cooked, over rice... you're welcome). I told her in the middle of the day that I had a question to ask her, but she would have to wait until midnight. She didn't like that. She berated me about this question periodically, but I wouldn't budge. Time passed, midnight struck, and I asked her to be my girlfriend. She thought I was somehow messing with her at first, asking "are you serious?" about 7-8 times. I assured her I was and she agreed to my terms. I then explained that I waited until midnight because 1-7-17 is easier to remember than 1-6-17. - Daniel
The first time I actually thought to myself "I want to marry this girl" was probably after spending 4th of July with Morgan and her family in 2017. We played lots of board games (Most of which I won. Just saying.), and her family's nickname for me (Pongo) came about. I realized that it felt more like I was spending time with my family, and not my girlfriend's. I remember calling Zach on the way home and just catching up with him. I didn't share with him that I was secretly plotting to marry this girl yet. Although, I did say something along the lines of "I'm the happiest I remember being in a long time." Fast forward a few months. Morgan and I grew closer, and we grew closer to each other's families through several visits. It took me a couple months to finally make up my mind, but I didn't just want to marry her anymore. I couldn't not marry her. I told my parents. They love her so they were elated, and after some standard parental advice, my mom helped me pick out a ring. Morgan and I had gone out of town together before, but never properly traveled. Our trip to Germany would be our first real adventure together. I thought she'd had her suspicions that I might propose, and I was a little paranoid that she just straight up knew. I didn't really have a plan, so I just carried the ring on me at all times. When I saw an opportunity, I gave my friend Gia the phone and asked her to take a video, instead of a picture. I told her I was going to propose and not to freak out, but of course, she did anyway. When she stopped freaking out, she agreed. I went back over to Morgan; I told her that every time I had made a wish the last couple months, it was for her to say "yes" when I proposed. To my surprise, she was surprised. We kissed, I put a ring on it, and unbeknownst to us, Gia was running laps around us and some Asian man had stopped to capture the moment as well. I think it went well. - Daniel
