During this reception, guests may greet the bride and groom. This first event is optional. Afterwards, the groom and male guests will witness the signing of the Ketubah (marriage document).
4:30 pm - 5:00 pm
During the Chuppah, the couple will be standing underneath a canopy during which the main religious ceremony will take place. This is where Kiddushin (engagement according to Jewish law), Nisuin (marriage), and the famous glass-crushing takes place. After this section it's all fun, dancing, and food!
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Following the Chuppah, the bride and groom will be escorted to a private space for a brief time, and then they will take pictures. During this time, dinner will be served buffet style. There will also be an open bar. After pictures, the bride and groom will enter the reception. There will be dancing, a few speeches and lots of food!
