How We Met

Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Porter and I met in July of 2016. We both started working at Cost Plus World Market and honestly didn't really hit it off at first. I was a wild child and he was level headed and grounded. We talked a little bit, mostly about work related stuff. It took several months but he finally started to warm up to me. I mostly just annoyed him because he would have to take apart and rebuild all the furniture I had built wrong. Come September and he was getting ready to leave for school again. I texted him the day he left and told him that I wished I would have been able to hug him goodbye. He told me that he was saving it for the next time he saw me. and after that text message we managed to fall in love hundreds of miles apart. He was up in Rexburg I was in Boise, but we made it work. He eventually came home and we didn't have to do long distance anymore. It feels like I have loved him for a life time. When he proposed in August it was the happiest day of my life. He has blessed me in more ways than I can describe. As we learned back two years ago distance makes the heart grow fonder. He is back in Rexburg right now until April 2019, but our love for each other grows stronger everyday and we are both ecstatic about getting married and eventually being sealed for all eternity. I hope all of our guests enjoy this time with us as we start our own adventure. The Ocean is calling and We Must Go. Cannon Beach here we come!

For all the days along the way
