Woods Hole Ferry - Steamship Authority

How do I get to the Island? The Ferry from Woods Hole is an easy, cheap and fast way to get to the island. The 45 minute boat ride also provides beautiful views of Vineyard Sound and the Elizabeth Islands. Options are as follows. Car Reservation: Car reservations are about $180 round trip. Transportation will be provided from Edgartown to the festivities on Saturday and back, however you may enjoy the flexibility of a car to explore the island at your leisure. If that is the case, we do encourage you to book car reservations well ahead of schedule - reservations open January 1st for 2021. Walk-on Ticket: There is plenty of parking in Woods Hole and Falmouth at the designated lots and shuttle buses arrive every couple of minutes to bring people to the Ferry. Tickets can be purchased day of at location and are around $15 round trip to walk onto the ferry. Once arriving in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs there will be plenty of Uber and Taxi options to bring you to your lodging.

For those Traveling by Air

Best options if flying into town! Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY) If flying, we recommend you fly directly into Martha's Vineyard's (MVY). If you cannot find a direct flight from your local airport there will be multiple transfer options from Boston Logan (BOS). The airport is centrally located on the island with easy access to Taxis and Ubers are plentiful at the airport. Boston Logan Airport (BOS) An alternative option is to fly into (BOS). From Boston you have the option to then take a bus from the airport to Woods Hole (via PeterPan, ~2.5hrs). With many wedding guests coming from Boston on Friday it should also be possible hitch a ride with a friend. If you need help coordinating your last leg of travel please reach out!
