Luke Myers and Porshea Christopherson’s love story is a testament to serendipity, patience, and the power of timing. Their paths first crossed in 2019, when both were seniors at neighboring high schools-Luke at Castle View and Porshea at Douglas County. Years before, fate had already started weaving their story: Luke’s sister, Paige, once tried to set them up, but Porshea declined, not realizing Paige was showing her childhood photos of Luke while working alongside Porshea’s mom at Rockyard Brewing. Life moved forward, and Paige graduated college, leaving for new adventures. Soon after, Luke began working at Rockyard Brewing, unknowingly stepping into the same world as Porshea. She didn’t recognize him at first, but something about Luke drew her in. As they spent more time together, Porshea found herself falling for him-this time, with no childhood photos to distract from the real connection blossoming between them. Eventually, Porshea reached out to Paige, confessing her feelings for Luke. On February 27, 2019, Luke asked Porshea to be his girlfriend, beginning a journey that would span years of love, growth, and partnership. Over the next six years, Luke and Porshea built a life together, supporting each other through every milestone and challenge. They celebrated high school graduations side by side in 2019, and continued to cheer each other on-Luke earning his degree in Business Management from MSU in 2024, and Porshea pursuing her passion first as a CNA in 2020, then as a cosmetologist at the Aveda Institute in 2021. Together, they navigated the joys of moving into their first apartments, adopted two beloved cats, Flurry and Oakley, and weathered heartbreak with the loss of Luke’s mother, Laura, during the COVID shutdown. Their story reached a new chapter on February 5, 2025, when Luke planned a surprise proposal on a picturesque bridge in Golden, Colorado, with snow-capped mountains as their witness.
