Here’s the story of how we met! Let’s throw it all the way back it’s the year 2021. I had been following Shea on instagram for a while but she never followed me back. So in my mind she didn’t want anything to do with me. I continued to follow her. I liked a few pictures here and there nothing major. One day in 2021 I seen she posted on her story “like if you wanna talk” so I liked. To my surprise she dmed me which sparked our first conversation. From there we really had a nice conversation getting to know each other. She was on a trip with her dad side of the family at the time. We talked about God and I learned she lived in Texas but was from Jackson. So from there I’m thinking In my mind there isn’t a possibility of anything more than just us being friends because I was in Mississippi and she was in Texas. So we continued to text here and there, for the longest time she would not get on the phone with me so I started losing hope and the texting begin to fizzle out. So after that we didn’t hear from each other but we would randomly check in on each other to see how we both were doing. Wishing each other happy birthday and during the holidays. Happy holidays. Fast forward 2022 we checked on each other again but this time was different! I asked her to get on the phone with me and she did! Her lil shy self! We are talking and turned out she was coming to Mississippi for the Jackson State SWAC Championship football game the one I previously was thinking I might be going to. I remember she texted me saying to “pull up” and I did! For the first time in a year and a half we actually got to meet in person. I vividly remember her beautiful self walking up the bleachers to meet me for the first time! We laughed and enjoyed each other the entire night everything felt so natural like it wasn’t our first time meeting each other. Jackson State won and we said our goodbyes not wanting to. But we definitely didn’t know that we would be here now!! I found my person. The love of my life. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord." Proverbs 18:22 Fast forward to October 11, 2024 I proposed and SHE SAID YES!!
